These inexpensive adapters, enables the user to operate with a CompactFlash Card Type I or II at the PCMCIA Type II interface.

Simply slide in the desired CompactFlash Card in this adapter and use the CompactFlash Card as a PC Card Type II. Due to the fact that the CompactFlash Cards are equipped with an ATA controller like any PC Card also, there is no limitation on this combination. So therefore the 50pin Interface of the CompactFlash Cards is “translated” to the 68pin Interface related to the PCMCIA standard.

There are 2 different PC Card adapters available. First one is only usable with CompactFlash Type I Cards the second one can be used with CompactFlash Type I and II cards, which also enables the use of a MicroDrive with it.
