Since the PNA comes up approximately 4 years ago the market for these devices increased dramatically and continuously in sold units and dominate the navigation market including the  integrated car navigation systems. Very simple in design and functionality at the beginning, the designs and features changed a lot in these years because of technical development and market demands. So nowadays there is a huge range of PNAs with different designs and a variaty of display sizes, CPUs and GPS chipsets.

Based on these market demands and the technical development, the brand new GC-series from FORTUNA fulfill all the hardware demands in a very slim and stylish housing.

The whole series is based on high quality components e.g. display, CPU and memory from Samsung and the market leading SiRF III chipset as GPS receiver. Nevertheless the series offers the whole bandwidth to fulfill low-cost projects as well as projects which demands high-end devices.

Basic model is the GC350, which is equipped with a 3.5" touch-enabled display, 64MB ROM and 64MB RAM. Because of its Windows CE.NET 5.0 operating system it can be used with all compatible navigation software as well as with applications like MP3-player or picture viewer. All these applications can be operated without any performance problems, because of the integrated 400MHz CPU.

Optionally it can be also equipped with Bluetooth (for hands free application) and furthermore it is possible to enable TMC by embedding the market leading chipset from GNS into the device.

Additionally the internal Flash-ROM can be increased up to 2GB capacity, which can be useful in some projects to implement software and maps already in the internal memory.

The same variety of features and functions is of course possible for the GC430 which is based on 4.3" display.

The included passive cradles are equipped with the 4 hole mounting system from HR-Autocomfort. Because of that, these can be combined with all HR mounts equipped with this system so it is possible to place the PNA at nearly every position in the car as well as on bicycles and motor bikes.
