PC/104 Module with 1x PCMCIA (Type II) to IDE interface

Description:
APRO’s PCMCIA ATA to IDE PC/104 modules are designed to provide an interface between 68pin ATA mode of PCMCIA card and the 40pin and/or 44pin standard IDE (with optional 40pin to 44pin IDE adapter cable). Works with DOS, Windows 95, 98, XP, 2000, Linux, Unix, and any other PC based operating systems. The PCMCIA ATA to IDE card drivers allow PC compatible computer with an IDE controller to use a PCMCIA ATA Flash, ATA Hard Disk Drive and Compact Flash. Usecases are testing equipments, security systems, network computing, industrial computers and many other devices that require rugged solid state storage.

The PC/104 Standard allows easy mounting in your existing PC/104 system and can be directly connected via 40pin IDE cable to the IDE interface. The ATA devices install as standard hard drive and do not require card and socket services and support also Linux system. PCMCIA ATA Flash cards can provide a robust, low current, low operating temperature and highly reliable storage solution for critical applications.  APRO’s PCMCIA ATA to IDE card drives do not require any drivers. Once the card drive is connected and a PCMCIA ATA Flash card is inserted, the ATA based Flash Card card will appear as a drive on your PC. Indicator LED's for card power and card activity is provided.

A CompactFlash Card in a PCMCIA PC Card adapter is just like a PCMCIA ATA Flash Cards which is workable in the PCMCIA ATA card drives.

Remark:
In connection with some Operation Systems (e.g. Windows XP) the inserted ATA Card must be programmed as “IDE-fixed”. Therefore the system will recognize the card as a standard hard drive and not as a removable device.
